Sir,

With reference to above article, I would like to say that this practice needs to be implimented to all specialities and should be norm.

Although it may require more training, patients will benefit by two fold. One, patients will be more aware of their condition and will know what their doctors think about them. Two, in acute admissions unit, while getting patients' notes takes a lot of time (unless evrything is computerised), if the patient carries these letters, it will be very handy for a new doctor in deciding management.
