Only 26.5% of members participated in the voting process in the 2011 Royal College of Psychiatrists president elections, even though there were many options to get involved including online voting. Only 12.2% of members voted for the president (at first stage, 7.8%). And even though using the internet would appear to be an easier option, there were fewer votes cast using this method. When will the British psychiatrists wake up and start to take part in these elections? Footnote
